About

Hi, I’m Eleanor.

Marketer · Privacy-first analytics

For over a decade I’ve worked with website analytics — setting up goals, building funnels, and explaining to clients the difference between sessions and users. Google Analytics was my go-to tool for as long as I can remember.

And then came GA4. New interface, new event logic, reports you have to build from scratch. I spent weeks learning it — and at some point asked myself: why?

“Most websites don’t need complex funnels and machine-learning predictions. They need to know: how many people came, where from, and what they did. That’s it.”

Trackers On This Site

That’s how PrivacyAnalytics.io was born — a place where I collect simple, privacy-friendly analytics tools. No cookie banners, no legal risk, no PhD required for setup.

I test dozens of platforms and share honest reviews here. My goal is to help website owners find tools that respect user privacy and actually make sense for their needs.

What I write about

Four lanes, no filler.

Tool Reviews

Hands-on reviews of privacy-first platforms like Plausible, Fathom, Umami and Matomo — tested on real sites.

Privacy & Compliance

GDPR, CCPA and cookie consent in plain English. Practical steps for real websites, not legal theory.

Tracking & Setup

What to track, what to ignore, and how to set analytics up so it actually informs your decisions.

Honest Comparisons

Side-by-side breakdowns to help you pick the right tool — no affiliate bias, no hype.

What I believe

Two principles.

Privacy is a feature, not a bug

Respecting your visitors’ data isn’t a compromise. The best tools prove you can measure honestly and still protect people.

Less data, better decisions

You don’t need to track everything. A few clear numbers, understood well, beat a dashboard you never read.
